This Civic hatchback was purchased to be a practice car, a low maintenance substitute for the Civic sedan. On it’s second track outing, the original single cam engine developed rod knock, rendering it completely useless. The B18 out of the sedan was transplanted for the sake of convenience and to keep cost down, which also developed rod knock two track days in. A fresh B18C was then purchased and installed, which continues to run strong. With simplicity as the main focus of this car, it remains very mildly modified.
